The weather influence on traffic in urban areas
Jalůvková, Denisa ; Radimský, Michal (referee) ; Matuszková, Radka (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis is a research of the connections and possible interdependencies of car accidents and the weather on roads in the Czech Republic. The first part of the thesis focuses on the general facts about the car accidents and their causes, further on it presents a description of individual meteorological and atmospheric phenomena. The practical part of the thesis consists of the statistics and further evaluation of the interdependence of the accidents, speed and the individual meteorological and atmospheric phenomena.
The climate of Norway as a factor influencing tourism
Lhotka, Ondřej ; Sládek, Ivan (advisor) ; Míková, Taťána (referee)
This bachelor's work describes the elements of Norwegian climate, which have immediate influence on human activities in the nature. This work insist on the regime of sunshine in reference to the astronomical and meteorological factors. The duration of daylight and the presence of the polar day and the polar night is described for several places in Norway. The sunny and dark periods are defined for Oslo and Tromsø, the amount of cloud cover throught the year is illustrated, too. The temperature conditions are characterised throught the use of the map with mean annual temperature and the tables with mean month temperatures, mean month minimum temperatures and extreme temperatures. The wind regime is described in the table and illustrated throught the use of five wind roses. After it there is a map with mean annual precipitation and the tables with mean month precipitatation and the amount of precipitatation-days for several places. The height of the snow cover throught the year is described, too. At the end there is a suggestion about the content of "climatic guidebook" and a recommendation of proper time for visiting Norway.
Impact of a large city on the climatic characteristics of sunshine, their spatial distribution and time changes - case study Prague
Volkeová, Veronika ; Sládek, Ivan (advisor) ; Němec, Luboš (referee)
IMPACT OF A LARGE CITY ON THE CLIMATIC CHARACTERISTICS OF SUNSHINE, THEIR SPATIAL DISTRIBUTION AND TIME CHANGES - CASE STUDY PRAGUE Abstract This thesis deals with essential climatic element which is sunshine duration (SD). The aim of this work is to detect spatial distribution and time changes of the lenght of SD in Prague and surroundings. In the thesis were used data from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute, specifically monthly and annual sums of SD at Prague-Karlov station for the 96 year period, at the other stations for the 7 year period. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is focused on literature recherche, which is based on available knowledge about sunshine in Prague or in larger cities in general. The second part has a research character. At first there is a focus on the Prague-Karlov station and its long-term trends, and then on other station in Prague and out of the Prague. To determine spatial distribution were used statistical double-choice tests.

Long-Term Changes in Cloudiness and Sunshine Duration in Europe
Bílková, Jarmila ; Huth, Radan (advisor) ; Holtanová, Eva (referee)
LONG-TERM CHANGES IN CLOUDINESS AND SUNSHINE DURATION IN EUROPE Abstract The aim of this paper is to study long-term changes of two climatological parameters known as sunshine duration (SD) and cloudiness (CC) using several stations data located in Europe in the period 1965 - 2016. This paper is devided into two main parts. First part is paying attention to the literary research, which firstly introduce the chosen climatical variables (SD and CC) and then introduce the issue of the already known long term changes of this variables. Second part of this work is based on practical research. This paper uses a statistical linear regression to find out the seasonal and annual trends in sunshine duration and cloudiness. Data series were obtained from database ECA&D in total from 48 european climatic stations. Klíčová slova: cloud cover, sunshine duration, climate change, trends, Europe
